Health & Safety
Every hirer is responsible for the safety of their own guests while using the hall. Here's what you need to know.
Hirer responsibilities & risk assessment
As the named hirer, you must complete a short risk assessment for your event (we provide a template when you book), nominate a fire warden for the duration of your booking, and ensure guest numbers stay within the capacity for your layout. Bouncy castles, naked flames and fireworks require prior written approval from the committee.
Safeguarding
Bramwell Hall follows a safeguarding policy for any activity involving children or vulnerable adults. Our safeguarding officer, Priya Nandakumar, can be reached via the contact details below for advice before your event.
Accessibility
The hall has a ramped step-free entrance, an accessible WC with grab rails, and an induction hearing loop in the main hall. A wheelchair-accessible parking bay is located nearest the front doors.
